MSc in EE is a supervised research programme, culminating in submitting a shorter thesis than required for a PhD. The thesis must include results of original investigative work, which constitutes an advancement of knowledge. At least one school member will supervise the research work, and progress will be monitored throughout the study. Assessment is based on a viva voce and examination of the final thesis.
The candidates are also expected to publish their research findings in conferences or journals. The research may be carried out either on a full-time or part-time basis.
