Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology with Honours

Introduction

The Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology with Honours Degree is fully accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) which is a signatory to the Washington Accord. The Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Honours programme emphasizes a strong foundation in electrical and electronics engineering courses. During the first two years, students learn the fundamentals of Electronic and Electrical Engineering Technology: analogue and digital electronics, electrical machines and energy, signals and communications, semiconductors, mathematics, and programming microprocessors. Students will also develop their practical skills in the laboratories and undertake a range of hands-on projects. In the third year, students have the opportunity to choose electives courses of their interest such as Computer and Communication, Instrumentation and Control, Power Systems Engineering, or Electronics and Devices. In the fourth year, students will carry out an individual project, which can involve investigations at the forefront of current research. We also provide Year in Industry in the fourth year for our standard undergraduate courses. These enable students to spend a year working in the industry as part of their degree and then graduate with a degree title that reflects their work experience.
