On July 13, 2023, 26 students from the Bachelor of Technology (Btech) program at the College of Engineering, UiTM, received their Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) certificate. The certificate was presented by Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Hasmaini Binti Mohamad as the Head of the Programme. Utechtium Sdn Bhd, a company specializing in research and training, provided and endorsed the certificate.

The Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control certificate program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify potential occupational hazards, assess the associated risks, and implement effective controls to mitigate those risks. The program covers a wide range of topics, including OSH regulations and compliance, incident investigation, and risk management. The students who received the certificate have completed the program and demonstrated their understanding of the material through a series of assessments and practical exercises. The students are now prepared to enter the workforce as safety professionals, able to identify and control hazards in various settings.
