UiTM (Universiti Teknologi MARA) recently hosted the Cisco Academy Day 2023, an event that brought together students, industry experts, and academia to explore the latest trends and advancements in enterprise networking. Organized in collaboration with the Discipline of Computer, Electrical Engineering School, College of Engineering at UiTM Shah Alam, this program aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the world of networking through engaging talks by esteemed professionals.

The event took place on July 8, 2023, in the Bilik Seminar Al-Haytham, where students from semesters 6, 7, and 8 in the field of Computer Science participated. The Industrial Talk segment featured two distinguished speakers, each offering their expertise in specific areas of networking.

The first speaker, Ts Azmir Ilias, graced the stage as a Network Security Consultant at AIA Berhad. His captivating lecture titled "Network Monitoring and Automation in Enterprise Networking" delved into the intricacies of ensuring robust network security and the importance of automation for efficient network management. Students gained valuable insights into the practical application of network security measures within an enterprise environment.

The second speaker, Encik Muhamad Irfan Faliq, a System Engineer from Juniper Networks Malaysia Sdn Bhd, took the audience on an exciting journey exploring the world of artificial intelligence (AI) in networking. His talk titled "AI in Networking" shed light on the emerging role of AI in revolutionizing network management, performance optimization, and problem-solving. Students were inspired by the potential of AI to enhance network operations.

Beyond the enlightening talks, the program also acknowledged and honored outstanding achievements. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) instructors who recently obtained their certification were recognized for their dedication and commitment to imparting knowledge. Furthermore, students who successfully passed the final CCNA examination were also presented with certificates, celebrating their accomplishment and validating their expertise in the field of networking.
