Bridging Academia and Industry: IAP Meeting

Recognizing this need, the School of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering at Universiti Teknologi MARA recently organized a successful Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) meeting for the Electrical Engineering program. The IAP meeting, held on 8th June 2023, brought together esteemed professionals from various sectors of the electrical engineering industry. The panel members included Mr. Azril Hisham bin Abu Hassan, CEO of Boustead Technology; Mr. Mohd Shamsul Izuwan Bin Mohamed Sharifodin, Principal Electrical Engineer at Kejuruteraan Ezet Niaga Sdn Bhd; Mr. Muhamad Faqih Bin Badrishah, Head of Section, Project Engineering at TENAGA SWITCHGEAR (A Subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad); and Ms. Zilaila bt Hj Zakaria, Senior Electrical Engineer at Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia.

The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss and implement measures to enhance the educational program offered by the Electrical Engineering department. The university aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practical application by engaging industry experts, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive education aligned with industry requirements.
