MAJLIS PENYERAHAN CADANGAN REKA BENTUK PEMBANGUNAN PROJEK DATARAN BERBUMBUNG SEKOLAH RENDAH AGAMA INTEGRASI TENGKU AMPUAN FATIMAH, BATU BELAH, KLANG, SELANGOR

The SULAM initiative integrates technological expertise, scientific principles, community service, and volunteerism. The program is organized by students specializing in Civil Engineering Studies in ECC589 Engineers in Society. The primary objective of the project is to provide additional facilities on the school premises for community events. Activities that were conducted during the program included designing the roof trusses at the assembly hall and preparing the Bill of Quantities (BQ).

As part of the proposed project, a covered assembly hall was designed and will be constructed at Sekolah Rendah Agama Integrasi (SRAI), Tengku Ampuan Fatimah (TAF), in Batu Belah, Klang, Selangor. The project aims to enhance the school's capacity to host various meetings and events by constructing a flat at the assembly hall. The covered assembly hall will serve as a venue for school gatherings and social occasions. To ensure the project's success, students will complete the necessary documentation for submission to the Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK). These documents will be a comprehensive proposal containing detailed designs and specifications for constructing the covered assembly hall. Close collaboration with the school administration and relevant stakeholders will be maintained to gather all the required data and specifications. The proposed design will emphasize technical aspects to ensure the roof structure is durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Consideration was given to durability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability throughout the design process.

The ceremony of handing over the design and documentation of the Development of the Roofed Assembly Hall Project of Sekolah Rendah Agama Integrasi (SRAI) Tengku Ampuan Fatimah (TAF) was carried out on June 16, 2023. The handover ceremony was also attended by the school committee, SRAITAF's PIBG representative, a representative from the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) and PKA UiTM Shah Alam. The ceremony started with the presentation of the design of the covered assembly hall that had been proposed by the engineering students in collaboration with industry consultants Crest One Consult. It was followed by a discussion involving the problems encountered in obtaining planning approval from the MPK.
