Water Sustainability: Achieving A Greener Future
This program focuses on enhancing creativity, innovation, and education among the residents of the Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bestari.
The program aims to provide knowledge and awareness regarding:
- Increasing awareness about the importance of collecting and using rainwater efficiently.
- Raising awareness about the importance of proper water filtration and ensuring safe and clean water quality.
- Enhancing awareness of the crucial role of trees in water storage and environmental conservation.
- Improving understanding of the importance of river conservation and natural water treatment methods.
It also aims to raise awareness about the FOUR (4) categories of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and SDG 15 (Life on Land) among the residents.
Dr. Janmaizatulriah Binti Jani led this program as the Program Chief Advisor and with other advisors; Dr. Nazirah Binti Mohd Apandi, Ts. Dr. Norhafezah Kasmuri, Dr. Sharifah Binti Abdullah, Ts. Dr. Nor Hazwani Binti Md Zain, Dr. Muhd Norhasri Muhd Sidek and Ts. Dr. Rozaina Ismail. In addition, this program has been conducted in collaboration with the Water Resources Management and Hydrology Division, Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia.
