Staff Mobility to Kyushu Institute of Technology (KYUTECH) & Osaka University, Japan

This is a staff mobility program in which has taken place at the Kyushu Institute of Technology (KYUTECH) & Osaka University, Japan. Two FKA's staffs involved in this program, Dr. Mohd Khairul Kamarudin & Dr. Amnorzahira Amir. This program was initiated to encourage research collaboration from those institutions. In KYUTECH, the Department of Civil & Architectural Engineering has welcomed the delegation to initiate the collaboration in structural glass research in which of the favour of Dr. Mohd Khairul's research niche. While, the Department of Biological Functions Engineering has welcomed Dr. Amnorzahira to initiate a research joint of soil and groundwater remediation. At the Osaka University, the Division of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering has offered the research joint on the groundwater remediation while the Joining and Welding Research Institute has agreed to engage in the collaboration. This program has enlightened the way to strengthen the partnership in both research areas of Dr. Mohd Khairul and Dr. Amnorzahira in which an MoA is expected to be established in the near future. This program involved in a close discussion to pave the way for the research collaboration to establish plus a short mini talk among the postgraduate students in the university, lab visit and site visit to the construction undergoing e.g. high-rise building project by Takenaka Corporation, one of the prominent general contractors in Japan and the refurbishment of an old railway train station at Mojiko.
