A short meeting/ discussion has been held between the Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam and representative from Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA), Datuk Ts. Feroz Hanif B. Mohamed Ahmad. The aim of this meeting is to spark potential areas of collaboration between the academics (FCE) and the industry (MBSA). This engagement would further ensure the consistency and conformity between the research conducted at the university as well as the needs and requirements from the industry. Among the common areas of potential collaborations are: Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) initiatives; waste management; green procurement; IBS; pavement; as well as safety issues, particularly at slopes. The positive outcome from the discussion has been the starting point for many more collaborative initiatives in future.
