We were pleased to welcome delegates from China Productivity Center (CPC) based in Taiwan to the Faculty of Civil Engineering on 24th April 2019. CPC was doing a Study Mission to Malaysia from April 22 to 25, 2019 and the delegates were hosted by Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (GreenTech Malaysia). One of their study mission objective is to gain knowledge and insights into the innovative policies and programs of the Federal Government of Malaysia on green development programs, projects and opportunities.

CPC is equivalent to Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) (MPC is a government agency under Ministry of International Trade and Industry, MITI). The China Productivity Center (CPC) is appointed by the Republic of China government to implement the Asian Productivity Organisation’s (APO) various project activities and jointly promote the improvement of Asian productivity. CPC position’s itself as a professional service platform to provide consultancy to industry, academia, and government and aims to create values and promote sustainable management for enterprises.

The delegation from CPC was headed by Mr. Eugene Lin, Director - Office of the APO Director for the Republic of China, China Productivity Center (CPC), Taiwan. The other delegation’s member includes Ms. Ballet Tee, Project Manager, Mr. Polun Chen, General Manager STC International CO., LTD. and Mr. William Kuo, Consultant, Everlight Lighting CO.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Zakiah Ahmad, Dean of Faculty of Civil Engineering. Also present during the meeting were Mrs Freida Razali, Senior Manager, Strategic Communications, Malaysian Green Technology Corporation, Assoc. Prof. Dr.-Ing Masria Mustafa, ICAEN Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lee Wei Koon, Assoc Prof. Dr. Juraidah Ahmad, Dr. Norliyati Mohd Amin, Dr. Mohd Khairul Kamarudin, Ir. Dr. Oh Chai Lian, Dr. Sheila a/p Belayutham and Dr. Nor Azmi Bakhary.
