The competition is organized by Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). The main objective of this competition is to promote the study on structural and earthquake engineering and in the meantime to enhance the knowledge in engineering field amongst the undergraduates. Faculty of Civil Engineering send 2 teams (Voldemort and UiTM Seismo'D) under supervision of Dr. Nurul Fariha Lokman and Puan Rozaina Ismail. Almost 28 groups from many other universities joined the competition. The students are required to build the balsa wood model (setback residential and commercial building) and prepare the best for the structural design presentation. They are passionate with new experience of the testing stage using the shaking table in this competition. It is hope that the students will understand the concept of seismic loading and the beauty of structure that may sustain the loading without failed. This is a good experience for networking with students from other universities and sharing the knowledge in structure.
