Prof Dr Zakiah was invited by Sarawak Timber Industry Development Cooperation to deliver a talk on topic entitled 'To provide Guidence to Designers and Architect in Choosing Wood Products and Construction Components' at the Seminar on Wood Utilization for Construction Structure on 3/7/18.

The seminar was officiated by the honourable Datuk Amar Hj Awang Tengah Ali Hassan, Deputy Chief Minister, Minister for Industrial and Entrepreneur Development Second Minister for Urban & Natural Resources.

The talk explained the design requirements for structures using engineered timber product using Malaysian and European standards in occordance with limit state design.
